I need help! So Iā€™m hiring an intern: someone who is good at things I am not (photography! updating my website regularly!), and someone who will help execute my strategy for CHEER! through the end of the year (possibly into 2020). Start and end dates are flexible, from mid-Septmber to mid-December, roughly 10 hours a week (some more or less depending on events and availability). As a whole, it is unpaid, though there are particular events or projects that I may be able to pay for, depending on funding.

Main responsibilities:

document artwork in gallery- and product-style photoshoots, primarily prints on paper and textile pieces

update website portfolio and shop with products and classes

Help with daily studio tasks like packaging and shipping, inventory and organization, and some open studio events (must be available Friday, November 1)

Other duties as they arise/time permitting, potentially helping with print or quilt production.

Desired qualities:

Responsible, reliable, and professional with a good sense of intuition and ability to anticipate needs. Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. Efficient and thorough work ethic.

  • Ease and aptitude with a camera, a keen eye and excellent taste in photographing artwork and editing photos in Lightroom and/or Photoshop (cropping, resizing, color correcting)

  • Knowledge of InDesign preferred

  • Knowledge of Squarespace and MailChimp.

  • Proficiency in sewing with technical precision a big plus!

Email a letter expressing your interest and qualifications, potential schedule availability, a resume, and three professional references to laurabrownart@gmail.com
